Is there anything special I need to do to get the API and run it on a Mac with Chrome?

Not really. Just copy paste your API link. You can find it by looking through your developer tools for it, assuming you're not using something like KC3 already, in which case you don't need to worry about finding an API link in the first place. To access developer tools, either right click and "inspect element" or hit f12.

I'm pretty sure Mac can run flash. It's just their their tablet and iphone OS that doesn't run it, since they've got something against Adobe. That being said, I believe flash is built into chrome anyway.

No.

The format of the API link looks like this:

http://125.6.189.135/kcs/mainD2.swf?api_token=1234567890abcdefghijklmnopqrs tuvwxyz12345&api_starttime=123456789012345

using api link on firefox looks ugly
the flash upsize the original resolution, and I don't know how to adjust the resolution

Yes. So don't do that, and instead use a flash player to go with it.

It's under body > w > main-ntg > page > area-game > game_frame > #document (http://kancolle.himeuta.net/forums/usertag.php?do=list&action=hash&hash=document) > html > body > flashWrap from the Inspector in Firefox.

In Chrome press CRTL+SHIFT+I and then use the magnifying glass next to "Element" and click on the game itself while being logged in on the DMM site. That should bring up the API link.

Does KC3 Player work in Chrome on Mac? If so, it's really useful and hands you your API link on a silver platter.

And as long as you don't spam refresh you should be fine with API, right?

With the update coming in, can you just use the API after it's over or do you have to log in on VPN and get a new API?

Yes. It's available through the chrome store. Just install it there.

Impstar_Deuce

It wouldn't be surprising if you had to reset your API to get the event maps. There is currently no record of anyone being banned for using API links, so it should be rather safe.

panda Thanks, I just wanted to suggest for Impstar_Deuce to use it then. :) It doesn't get much more comfortable and the 'risk' stays the same when using API link.

I always used to get new APIs after manteinance and monthly resets. It's probably safer.
