View Full Version : Will you scout event map?

08-07-2014, 05:22 PM
I have 3 sub accounts so scouting AL might be easy.
But scouting MI 'll be tough since my sub accounts doesn't have many CVs
so I'll read wiki instead.

I, don't think i will, will probably wait a day for wiki because i don't own a sub account to scout with. I might have done it if it wasn't for that rumor (or is ti confirmed?) ruling about 1 map type per shipgirl.

Where's the option for MI only?

I get the impression I'll be using subs for that... maybe. Not AL mind you since it seems it'll be easy, but MI might need it (especially if they decide to put Yorktown in as a boss.)

Hint: Besides Hiryuu, who was also given credit for delivering the final blow to the USS Yorktown?
As sub, I-168 no less as she ultimately sunk the weaken Yorktown with a topedo when it was being haulled back after being severly damaged.

Not this time. Scouted 1-5 and spring event, but I can't do AL. can't risk to cockblock myself out of the event. And I don't have sub account to use for it.
Could scout MI, but by the time I've reached it, it'll be already done by others.

you must clear AL to open MI

Depend on the information devs give us during the maintenance. I might just #yolo (http://kancolle.himeuta.net/forums/usertag.php?do=list&action=hash&hash=yolo) with full fleet if they tell us the exact branching rules. I still have enough subs to do scouting run though

08-07-2014, 06:14 PM
i will do both Operation tomorrow if i can..
already divide my fleet.. so i think i can manage to clear it.. (i will just hope that i can clear AL with just lvl 50-80 ship...)
but yeah. i might still waiting for Dev info in patch notes tomorrow..
and maybe discussing thing in this forum for information sharing..

I have two sets of subs to scout with and will use the higher one to scout out the second half in case I need to use them.

08-07-2014, 06:21 PM
Lol nope. I'm going wait until you guys got it figured out. I thought I was ready but nope, no I'm not.

08-07-2014, 06:35 PM
Going to wait till people come up with map informations and eventual pathing rules if they're not given out by devs. Can't waste resources.

08-07-2014, 06:37 PM
I think I will wait for others to scout for me as well because I don't have the resources or extra shipgirls to spare experimenting... If I did then I probably would scout the event for others.

Going in completely blind without using some sort of special group for only scouting purposes seems very risky for this, even if they did give us info on what to bring. It's more fun to go in blind... but I dunno if it'll be worth it this time. Maybe. That said, for AL, going in with a group of 2-3 CVLs and a mishmash of DDs/CLs/CAs seems like a safe bet. It'll probably work.

It'll be more fun to go try the map blindly until you hit a 4 BB 2 CV node because of branching rules.

08-07-2014, 07:21 PM
This modest fleet will be more than happy to, at least try to, scout the 2 maps of operation AL.
We are currently at a relatively low level, but we will do our best. Results shall be posted in the 30 minutes following the sheduled end of the maintenance.

I'll be going in with my HISTORICAL FLEET of RJ, Jun'you, Maya, Takao, Ise and one other ship that actually participated in the Battle of Dutch Harbor.

I will play with Dutch Harbor-Chan so many times. Before I crush her with my superior firepower.

08-07-2014, 07:34 PM
AL only... I'll stick to using junk ships that cannot possibly be useful in Midway, untill we get some clear "Midway is easiest with X Fleet" conclusion.

Well, if by chance, the random low level mob actually penetrates North Hime then I'll do it all I guess. :D

08-07-2014, 07:36 PM
I've got my flotilla of DDs for scouting ready. And my three main fleets are ready as well.

My Maruyu's cocked and loaded and Murakumo's sword is sharpened. Time to do this.

Made a thread yesterday that got pushed way down:

We'll be doing forward scouting and streaming.

08-08-2014, 02:56 AM
I'll just sit patiently and wait for the guinea p- I mean brave Admiral's to find the branching rules.

08-08-2014, 03:23 AM
The stakes are just too high especially with the fleet limitation per operation...
Sorry but I'll be standing by and wait for scout results instead before I start the event :haruna_dot:

I'd rather take a purge

I would be amongst the leading charge if I weren't driving cross-country all day tomorrow, alas.

08-08-2014, 03:32 AM
I'll let teh multi account japanese tell me what to use before I use my precious kanmusu

08-08-2014, 03:38 AM
I'll probably not even try until it's been scouted for a week or so... My odds of clearing MI seems pretty minuscule without a lot of leveling so I'll be slacking while other people figure it out xD

08-08-2014, 05:47 AM
Wont be scouting, the super harcore guys with the multiple accounts in JP have that covered.

08-08-2014, 06:26 AM
I'll start crashing into AL once I get home from work, though then the maintenance would have been over for a few hours and the information might be coming in. I don't think I'm going to "wait" for all the necessary infos; it's probably not the most efficient but hell, crashing into the unknown is part of the fun in KanColle.

08-08-2014, 06:33 AM
With the lack of CVLs (the only decent leveled one I have is Zuihou) and the lack of CAs I have, I doubt I would want to scout. Heck I only have 4 CVs and they are only lvl 60s. Seems like saving up BBs and leveling BBVs won't do much of a difference.
