@Keyan_TTK There's people complaining about Boise's 13.6km gun range. I just lol'ed. She'll be firing Cleveland shells. It's not like she's any good reliably hitting stuff past 11km anyways. I remember someone specifically saying that there isn't a difference between Cleveland's shell arcs than Budyonny and Molotov. Knowledge dropped on them like an ACME Anvil.

Unless Boise's radar range matches her concealment range, I don't think Fiji, Belfast have anything to worry about. Indianapolis couldn't do it because her concealment range sucks ass so much that she can't properly leverage her radar against them without getting spotted and 1-shotted. Boise will be the same way. Even Atlanta can't do it, and she's stealthier than Indianapolis, Pensacola, Boise.

Pretty simple but I still think radar doesn't belong in T7 games.

These ships, and the existing T7 radar carriers, should get something else that doesn't completely negate ships at ranges T7s and lower typically fight at.

After a few days of ST, the USN CL got already a light buff:

    Dallas - Main Battery reload time decreased from 10 s to 8.5 s;

    Helena - Main Battery reload time decreased from 10 s to 8.5 s;

Seattle - base firing range increased from 13.4 to 14.3 km, 152 mm AA guns average damage increased from 52 to 90

Worcester - base firing range increased from 14.7 to 16.7 km, sigma value increased from 2.0 to 2.05 and 152 mm AA guns average damage increased from 76 to 121.

New American cruisers received these improvements after the preliminary tests.
The reload and range buffs are interesting, but I do hope these ships get a Rudder buff. Cleveland's is decent, but Helena, Seattle and Worcester are as maneuverable as German cruisers. I don't mind getting a short range escort ship without Smoke, but if I can't torpedobeat the fishes my prey send, I won't be that useful. Same goes for dodging shells from long range.

@Keyan_TTK They're buffing the long range 152mm DP gun DPS on Worcester from 76 to 121. That has huge implications. I was already intent on a Stealth / AA / Consumables Build on Worcester. She'll have 8.6km AA range like Neps and Mino, but now have good long range DPS which she didn't have before with 76 DPS. Couple that with my intention to have BFT / AFT / Manual AA, I fully intend to protect my DDs hardcore in a CV match.

I don't know about the rest of the USN CL Line, but Worcester brings interesting things to the table.

Yes, the long range AA buff on the 6/47 DP guns is the other nice thing. Now we're talking AA business. Just don't get too close, Worcester's and Seattle's rudder shift isn't that good, and like DM shows, a USN cruiser caught in the open is a dead one.

The rudder shift is a recurring theme with the new USN CLs. Up and down, even the premiums, they're like that.

Squishy USN Cruisers aren't a new thing though, the entire line, except for Cleveland and Baltimore, can all be blapped in one or two good salvos. I feel safer in a Floating Citadel called IJN CAs than I do any USN Cruiser not named Cleveland & Baltimore.

Here comes another build for the high tier USN light cruisers.

    ST. American cruisers.

    Columbia (Cleveland), tier VIII.

Consumable slot distribution is changed and Surveillance Radar is moved to the slot with the Spotting Aircraft.

Slot 1 - Damage Control Party

    Slot 2 - Hydroacoustic Search

Slot 3 - Defensive AA Fire

    Slot 4 - Spotting Aircraft/Surveillance Radar

Seattle, tier IX, Worcester, tier X.

A fifth consumable slot is added and now the Surveillance Radar and Hydroacoustic Search are available simultaneously from different slots.

Slot 1 - Damage Control Party

    Slot 2 - Hydroacoustic Search

Slot 3 - Defensive AA Fire

    Slot 4 - Surveillance Radar

    Slot 5 - Repair Party

Changes are designed to make these cruisers more effective against enemy destroyers and create a more unique gameplay for them.
Hydro and Radar, now that's better.

@Keyan_TTK I saw someone mention it in the NA boards and was about to bring it up here.

These are good changes as it lets the USN CLs of those tiers be consumables focused. Current USN CAs of those tiers can do Radar+Hydro. However, the CLs can do Radar+Hydro+Defensive Fire. To do Radar+Hydro on NOLA->DM, you have to drop Defensive Fire for Hydro. These CLs won't have to make that sacrifice.

While it looks like straight power creep over the CAs, the CAs still have their advantages.

    1. They use 203mm guns and will not feel the pressure to add IFHE to the build, which will be a touch consideration for the CLs. Adopting IFHE may mean not adopting Manual AA to make Worcester a true, long range AA Devil.
    2. When Baltimore shifts to Tier VIII, the VIII-X CAs will have 27mm bows to bounce up to 380mm AP. None of the CLs of the line can do that, not even Cleveland.
    3. VIII-IX CAs might retain SHS acess. If so that's a good thing for them.

T8 Cleveland's base range is now T6 Cleveland's enhanced range. Why not. Shell trajectories at that range become very floaty and you get spotted further out, but OTOH T8+ maps really lack cover. It's like playing Okinawa with Atlanta.

T6 Pensacola gets T7 Pepsi's guns (but not the rotation speed), which is very nice.

T8 Baltimore is now the T9 Balti, but without her t9 goodies (3 mil upgrade and Heal), it's probably a tad OP.
