It is a drop event with a Plains bonus. Complete the map to have a chance for a castle to drop. If they do not drop, the next completion has a higher chance of dropping. Difficulty does not affect drop rates or rarities as far as we know. Only the event map itself affects the drop rarity. The easier maps (E-1, E-2) are much less likely to drop the ☆4 units, and the harder maps (E-3+) almost only ever drop ☆4. As a note, E-X1 and E-X2 drop 3 and 4 jinmusume from their warehouses respectively, so they are a good place to level one girl while farming.
The chance brackets are
1~2 Slightly increased chance
3~7 Increased chance
8+ Greatly increased chance

Rewards are
★4 Takashima-jou

Skill: Reduces ATK of enemies in range by 15 per upgrade

★2 Mayabashi-jou

Skill: Increases ATK by 20%

Super cannons can range 1/2/3/4/5/6/7. You'll see some enemies come up from the water at 33 which go for C.
Some broilers will appear at 16, so be careful protecting B with that.
Boss eventually goes 6-9-13. Either block it early or defend A at 13.

Some sort of magic at 10 can help kill the stomper but there's a lot of enemies that can distract your attacks.
There's some hammer rabbits that head to 2, not sure if they go far to A or not, I'd just take care of them at 2 early. Careful with tanking the flyers there I guess.
I recommend placing a tanky melee at 2 or 6 last, as Mayabashi and cannons spawns in Round 2 and she may snipe a weaker ranged.

Quite a few cavalry will run through 6-9-13-17-21-17-22-18 so they can damage D and C.
Some of the big clubs go 16-20-24-28, so either a melee to stop them or some strong ranged near the bottom as they'll get to Tono uncontested easily.
The right side sees some spear mermaids walk out of the water at 33. 30 can be vulnerable to them.

At the very end of the round, a stomper shows up at 2.
