    Most people never have empathy at all and not that still doesn't matter, no one really cares unless everyone here speak Japanese.

    I didn't realize the update notes lacked the buff updates, so I'll add that here.


    Christmas Rose, Nadeshiko / Pink, Nerine, Momiji / Maple, Red Ginger: Their ability to boost skill activation rates by 1.2~1.32x based on their skill level is now 1.28~1.36x .
    Shabonsou / Soapwort: She got a new ability: She deals 1/2 of her max HP as extra damage % to enemies.
    Nishikigi / Burning Bush: Her added typing ability got altered. It used to add Magic type weakness to 3 people, but now it adds Blunt type weakness to 2 people, and Magic type weakness to 2 people.
    Yadorigi / Mistletoe: She got a new ability: Every turn that passes by, the party gets 20% more Attack. Goes up to 40%.


    Also, I'll explain the new whaleship mechanics.
    Flower Cannon is the whaleship's new, 3rd skill. The more characters you have in your composition that match the whaleship's typing, the higher chance you have of this skill activating. It will randomly take one of the characters of the correct typing, and use their Attack Power to deal damage to all enemies. This skill can only activate once per turn. For a general purpose-typed whaleship, the activation rate is solely based on the number of characters you have in the composition.

    Whale Protection is the whaleship's new ability. It activates when the whaleship Defends. It will take 1~3 characters from your composition and use their Defense Power to further reduce damage taken. There are three levels to this ability. The level determines how many characters are used. Levels 2 and 3 activate more often if you have more characters of the correct typing in the composition. For a general purpose-typed whaleship, levels 2 and 3 activate more often just by having more characters in the composition.

    @-Hyperion- Getting the power level required to the man the whale airship is already a challenge. You'll need more than a few rainbow knights just for the later maps to meet the power requirement.

    Most F2P players have up to around 5 to 6 rainbow knights on average, Imo you'll need around 10-15 to viably farm the latest maps. There really is little point in inflating required total power level further when the players will have easier time clearing them if they get a few more rainbow Knights. The new mechanics is really more to encourage the players to stack multiple Flower Knights of specific typing, which means the whale players would be encouraged to spend more to get more Flower Knights overall.

    Also, the latest story chapter mentioned something about the Whale Ship being insufficient for combating multiple Ancient Pests. Perhaps we'll get new battle system for the upcoming battle against the millennium millipede...?

    The main point of the whale-ship is to incentivise players to keep blooming and raising knights even if doing so will not increase the power of your normal squads.

    The new flower cannon raises the number of maxed out knights you would want for your whaleships from (theoretically) 16 of each type = 64, to 40 of each type = 160

    Interestingly, event girls might be better for the whaleship then gatcha girls that only have one or two equipment slots, since equipment gives a big stat boost and the better skills on gatcha golds are irrelevant.

    @Yil @LostLogia4 - I can understand the challenge for new or F2P players, but not those of us who P2W or have more than enough power to clear these maps on first try. see piccy. Wasn't it pegged as 'end game content'. I only grid it for stones and medals for fairies etc. no interesting or viable combat mechanic has been added. Shame, feels like any other map now.

    Maybe I miss the RNG days of those early story maps!
