Event Discussion: 第三回名城番付 (Third Popularity Contest)

Victory in the event map will drop [Voting Ballots] required for voting.
To vote, click on this button on the home page.

Depending on the total number of votes you cast, you can earn rewards.
※You can have a maximum of 9999 Voting Ballots at once. Any more than that will automatically be deleted.
※ You must complete the 16 Spirit Story Map to participate in this event

A high difficulty 80 Spirit map will be available after clearing the 40 Spirit map!
The recommended levels for this map are [Normal] = Lv50, [Hard] = Lv80
※ If the map is too difficult, it is recommended to challenge it again when it returns.
※ The second half of the event maps does not require the 80 Spirit map to be completed to access. Clearing the 40 Spirit map will give access to the second half of the event

    [Changes From Last Event]
Voting Rewards go up to [1000 Votes] and reward Castles will be given immediately.

You can use all of your ballots at once with the new [Vote All] button.

When you vote for a Castle, a voice line will activate.

The total rankings now show up to rank 110 up from rank 100.

Seasonal versions of Castles are not included in voting, so as to prevent votes being split between two different versions of one Castle.

    [Award Details]

The following rankings will receive Image Weapons, facilities at a future date:

    [Total Rank Award]
    Rank 1~3
    [Castle Award]
Rank 46 Castle (this is a pun on shiro = four six)
    [Yakumo Award]
Rank 89 (this is a pun on yaku = eight nine)
    [Senko Award]
Rank 105 (another pun that's less accurate, sen = 1000 but since we don't get that high, 100 is similar and ko = 5)
※ If any of the below castles win an award, they will not receive an image weapon (as they already have one). Instead, they will receive an image facility.
    - Winners in previous Popularity Contest
    - Fixed weapon [Fist], [Song], [Bell], and [Staff] castles

    [Result Announcements]
Results will collected daily at 05:00 and posted at 12:00 showing the top 110 rankings.
The final results will be announced after the 6/12 maintenance.

    [Voting Ballots]
Ballots will disappear after the event ends.
Be sure to use them before the event concludes.
Remaining ballots cannot be exchanged for items

Furthermore, regardless of the number of ballots received, the one castle each user gives the most ballots to will give them a [Bouquet] after the 6/19 (Tue) maintenance.
※ Applies to all users from before the 6/19 (Tue) maintenance
※ In the case of a tie, a random castle in the tie will give the Bouquet

    E-1:
    Cost: 20 Spirit
    Ballots: 2
    Terrain: Plains
Special Mission: Clear without losing any warehouses
    Reward: ★3 Byakusen
Special Mission 2: Clear without any castles being destroyed or losing any warehouses
    Reward: ★5 Byakusen [Kai-ichi]

Boss takes a long time to move. Easily snipeable with ranged castles nearby.

    E-2:
    Cost: 30 Spirit
    Ballots: 3
    Terrain: Mountain
Special Mission: Clear without losing any warehouses
    Reward: ★3 Tsubasa
Special Mission 2: Clear without any castles being destroyed or losing any warehouses
    Reward: ★5 Tsubasa [Kai-ichi]

You only really need units at 2 and 25 to stop things from reaching Tono and everything else is support.

    E-3:
    Cost: 40 Spirit
    Ballots: 4
    Terrain: Water
Special Mission: Clear without losing any warehouses
    Reward: ★5 Tsubasa [Kai-ichi]
Special Mission 2: Clear without any castles being destroyed or losing any warehouses
    Reward: ★5 Susuki

The ice can make things a bit more complicated. The elephant appears fairly late and runs 19-20-22-12-8. Fairly easy to take out with ranged units.
The boss walks straight down 19-17-16-13-8.

    E-4:
    Cost: 80 Spirit
    Ballots: 8
    Terrain: Plains
Special Mission: Clear without losing any warehouses
    Reward: ★5 Tsubasa [Kai-ichi]
Special Mission 2: Clear without any castles being destroyed or losing any warehouses
    Reward: ★5 Susuki

This is a super low Ki map and it can be quite difficult if you are underleveled. Until the enemy castles start to move, they cannot be targeted. Takashima-jou and Tendou-jou appear on clouds and cannot be blocked.
Azuchi-jou deals 35% increased damage and all castles in range of her take 20% more damage. There may be a bug where all castles regardless of range take this extra damage though.

Each enemy Castle poses its own unique threats. Starting on the top right with Eilean Donan and then Shinguu-jou, they ignore defense with their attacks. You'll want someone who you can upgrade to heal, or a healer to tank through. I recommend two units, placed at 21 and 16 so that 21 can be healed once and then 16 absorbs extra hits as they walk closer. I used a Gun and a Healer.
The next big threat is Kantan walking through the middle of the map. You may need to block her on Hard, as she can deal high amounts of damage and splash Tono/Warehouses/Tokens if she isn't stopped at 10/13. I think a Bow at 11 is good support to deal damage with the Healer at 16 buffing her.
The next biggest threat is Spis who moves to 8, then along the fence to 3-2-4-6-7, and the Bells flying across the map. The Bells will chip your most forward units, which shouldn't be a huge problem if you upgrade a Healer.
Spis on the other hand can be in an awkward position to stop. You might just need to let her walk up to Tono's area and have whatever is at 10/11 finish her off, and sacrifice any tokens that you leave at 1/2/3 which is fairly safe for them otherwise. If you have a strong enough Staff or Bow, 8 can be good to take her out, but you might get caught shooting at Kino instead if you get too much range, or you might get caught off guard without enough Spirit to upgrade to survive Spis's attacks.
Finally, near the end of the round, you'll see Akashi-jou move up with her Cannon, which can splash for a lot of damage if you're tight together followed by the remaining Talismans. Your newest placed castle can help absorb the hits and keep them from splashing weaker ranged units, and the Song can heal through it. Make sure to retreat any tokens next to warehouses if she gets too close.
The last Talismans, including Azuchi-jou will deal a lot of damage, so you should have a strong high HP forward tank with some sort of buff ready to help block the hits. Caernarfon or Yodo have good buffs for this, and you can use other unit's tokens to draw some fire away as well.

    E-4:
    Cost: 50 Spirit
    Ballots: 5
    Terrain: Mountain
Special Mission: Clear without losing any warehouses
    Reward: ★3 Byakusen
Special Mission 2: Clear without any castles being destroyed or losing any warehouses
    Reward: ★5 Byakusen [Kai-ichi]

Enemies that slide down the sand dunes will be able to attack while still moving. Recommend having units at 8/11 to block for B/C, and more units either on the red only path to finish them off, or ranged to snipe them before they start moving.
Boss comes fairly late along the red path so you can block her fairly easily. The knights might raise some concerns if you don't have something to kill them quickly since they can pile up on your blocker and prevent her from stopping the rest/boss.

    E-5:
    Cost: 60 Spirit
    Ballots: 6
    Terrain: Water
Special Mission: Clear without losing any warehouses
    Reward: ★3 Tsubasa
Special Mission 2: Clear without any castles being destroyed or losing any warehouses
    Reward: ★5 Tsubasa [Kai-ichi]

The boss has quite the range while moving at the start, so 4/6/9/13/35/39 etc are unsafe while she's in the other lane.
Otherwise, you can have a strong ranged unit at 21 to help snipe the few flying units and take out the elephants as they slowly traverse the maze, and then have decent melee units at 4/6/9ish to protect the left side and 39/43 with ranged support to stop the boss.

    E-6:
    Cost: 90 Spirit
    Ballots: 9
    Terrain: Hills
Special Mission: Clear without losing any warehouses
    Reward: ★5 Tsubasa [Kai-ichi]
Special Mission 2: Clear without any castles being destroyed or losing any warehouses
    Reward: ★5 Susuki

The boss circles the temple walls twice before finally moving into your team. It takes her a while to get moving, but 10/13/16/18/21/25 are all unsafe. She easily oneshots most units that are unupgraded.
I recommend a strong defensive melee at 6 or 8 with ranged support such as a Talisman at 9 to defend the left side. You'll see a lot of dense packs here so a hammer is good. The whip kabuto at the top there eventually moves in so have upgrades ready to block the damage and kill her before she can reach your ranged units. A maxed Talisman at 9/12 can help chip the boss as she flies by twice, but you may need to prepare for a fight near Tono.
25/26/29 are good spots for defending Tono and you can support from 23/33/38. A forward melee that can block at 24 can prevent a lot of trouble from the new battering rams as they are very tanky and take a while to kill. You can support from 26/29 with spears or swords with their greater range.

The Boss on E-6, at first I thought it looks pretty easy, doesn't have range attack. I put some archers to chip him down. Then he moves around and 1-shot my castles. >_<
