    Lol, nagato's special attack is triggered in echelon formation. That makes it utterly worthless in single fleet.


    On other words, working now so the patchnote will need to wait for an hour or so. Would gather other info concerning this patch and post it here as well.

    Patchnote:

    1. Introduction of 7-2.

    This map has two gauges, and they will be respawned every month. You only need to clear the respective parts once each month after your first clear though. Two DE will drop in this map for a limited time.

    2. TTK exp nerf for 7-1, buff for certain maps in world 1-6.

    3. Kanmusu exp buff for 1-2 to 1-5, the whole world 2 and latter parts of world 3-6.

    4. Introduction of late Autumn/Winter CG and lines

    5. Introduction of Richelieu's cream puff cg

    6. End of introduction of happi/yukata/saury cg

    7. New Akashi menu:

    38cm quad gun kai for Richelieu
    20.3cm (2) gun for Kinugasa k2
    Searchlight for Choukai, Akigumo

    8. Bonus of 20.3cm (2) gun on Aoba kai, Kinugasa k2, Furutaka k2 and Kako k2. The said ship will get extra stat from the gun, as well as getting radar synergy with the said gun.

    9. Ships including Jintsuu, Hiei, Kirishima, Akatsuki gets bonus from Searchlight/large searchlight.

    10. Update of LBAS UI. It will now display the radius of each plane, as well as the bonus from taitei/scout type

    11. Introduction of 4 new quests, including a new quarterly senka quest.

    12. Introduction of Nagato k2 special attack mechanics

    13. Introduction of Makigumo k2. BP and AR are needed for her k2. Her CG will change in different seasons.

    @211303

    Well I guess they are trying to make echelon formation great again exist as a viable option again. Depending on the effect it might be viable, like having the firepower, accuracy and torpedo power of line ahead while keeping the torpedo evasion of echelon at the cost of addition consumption.

    Ranking points from 7-1 are halved now. :/
    It is the same as a 4-2 run, only 1.5 pts..

    So some info about this patch:

    1. TTK exp change for all maps:




    2. Kanmusu exp change for all maps:



    3. Nagato k2 new mechanics

    So far, from what we know, this special attack will trigger when:

    a) Nagato k2 is at flagship position
    b) The 2nd ship is a BB
    c) The fleet is in echelon formation

    When triggered, Nagato and the 2nd ship will attack together for 3 times. The involved ships will use 110% ammo.

    As for now, due to the echelon formation, this attack really isn't worth using. It remains to be seen though how this mechanics work in combined fleet.

    4. 20.3cm (2) gun bonus

    Aoba kai:
    1fp, 1aa per 20.3cm (2) gun
    3fp, 2 torp, 2 evasion for 20.3cm (2) gun+surface radar synergy
    5aa, 2 evasion for 20.3cm (2) gun+aa radar synergy

    (Both will be triggered if the said radar is both surface and aa radar)

    Kinugasa k2:
    2 fp, 1 evasion per 20.3cm (2) gun
    3fp, 2 torp, 2 evasion for 20.3cm (2) gun+radar synergy

    Furutaka k2 and Kako k2:
    1 fp per 20.3cm (2) gun
    3fp, 2 torp, 2 evasion for 20.3cm (2) gun+radar synergy

    5. Searchlight bonus


    Jintsuu:
    2 fp, 2 torp, -1 evasion with a searchlight

    Hiei and Kirishima:
    2 fp, -1 evasion with a searchlight
    3 fp, -2 evasion with a large searchlight

    Choukai and Akatsuki:
    2 fp, -1 evasion with a searchlight

    Akigumo:
    1fp

    6. Shortest comp for 7-2:


    Part 1: 3 DE+2 CVE. OASW is recommended. There is no enemy CV in this route.

    Part 2: 1FBB, 1CV, 1CVL, 1CAV, 2DD. A fast fleet is needed. Fighter power around 350 should ensure you get AS for all comps.

    @ofi123 Well, damage bonus is now still under investigation, but it seems to be somewhere around x1.4 (also seems that the bonus could change depending on what the 2nd ship is). With the x0.6 bonus of echelon formation though, you will not do much damage comparing to even normal attack in line ahead formation. Maybe it is designed for cf only, though it remains to be seen which formation is needed in cf.

    Saves a lot of brain power from having to search it out and remember it.



    As an aside I think all of these 'additional bonuses' from equipment are really getting out of hand. There are so many additional bonuses now you need to practically be a military otaku/historian to know what goes with what. I think this is really going beyond the point of being 'educational' and just outright frustrating.

    If/When they ever update the UI in the future there had better be some sort of indicator as to what kind of extra bonus stats a character is receiving by using a certain equipment in addition to those stated on the equipment itself.

    While I do share some of the frustration, and there really isn't much taken away by adding some kind of +stat display....to be fair this game is meant for military otaku/historians, lest we forget. And being that type of person often gets a kick out of having to do research, planning and collating your own information. And going by how they run the game, that target audience hasn't really changed.

    @211303 I assume that bonus damage is meant only for Nagato and the 2nd ship, only when they're firing. Is 1.4x a pre-cap or post cap modifier? Multiplicative with the 0.6x formation modifier? Not that it matters much, its pretty bad as long as every other shelling attack suffers from the echelon penalty.

    Using this thread since there's no 7-2 thread as of posting.

    Anyone knows if the DE drop in 7-2 is limited to 1 of the boss nodes or both boss nodes can drop them?

    But I think it's still the best map, considering how little it costs.

    @DLRevan The 0.6 works just like any other formation modifier. So the actual modifier would be x1.4x0.6=x 0.84, which is worse than just attacking normally in line ahead. If the 2nd ship is Mutsu, the bonus would be x1.6 instead of x1.4.

    And yes, formation modifier affects all other ships in the fleet.

    @ofi123 Just the 2nd boss node for both DE. Only Matsuwa drops in first boss node.

    @211303 Wait, that wasn't that clear for me. Did you mean that the x0.84 (or x0.96 in the case of mutsu) affects all ships? Sure didn't feel like it when I tested it. I would assume the x0.84/x0.96 only works for Nagato and 2nd ship, and then only for their special attack.

    @Danielosama I think that's fine. It affects everyone, so it's just reducing ranking point "inflation". It makes the ranking point quests and monthly EOs account for more again, and for the top rankers dampens the high point range and how much is carried over each month.
