    @goesto11 I finished farming today, 23 runs after clearing map, 20 boss fights, 19 A rank and 1 C rank under red T before I add a saiun. on the 3 retreats, 2 would have been avoided if I had a FCF at that time. No support used, all LBAS at 1 fighter/3bombers on boss.

    Yeah, it's fine. 2-300 hp per run on average is rather normal tbh. You just have a pitiful amount of ammo left at boss and your fleet is so gimped.

    Finally done with E4H... right before they announce FF is coming tomorrow OTL


    Anyways... I used 211303 guide , but my passing rate during the chipping runs was horrible, and my chipping damage was abysmal (0-200 per run). so i ended switching a few things around to make it more workable with what i had. This was my final fleet for chipping:

    Hiryuu: TBf/FU4D/fighter/FCF
    Souryuu: TBf/FU4D/2x fighter
    Shoukaku: TBf/Suisei12 w/cluster bombs/2x fighter
    Furutaka: 2x gun/T3/scout
    Haguro: 2x gun/radar/T3
    Mogami: radar, 3x spf

    Yuubari: 2x gun/2x WG42
    Murasame: 2x gun/radar
    Michishio: 2x gun/radar
    Kako: 2x gun/radar/T3
    Italia: 2xgun/night scout/T3
    Teruzuki: 2x gun/radar

    Surface node support, no boss support due to passing rate (it felt like just a waste of fuel at that point). Both LBAS (1f,3b) to boss node.

    I focused on passing rate and ability to kill the escort fleet over chances to one-shot stuff. This allowed me to actually dish damage to the boss for once at night, instead of having my fleet crippled during day battle anyways. Having 3 radar DDs also allowed me to safely tow damaged ships away withouth having to detour to the extra node. The passing rate didn't seem to be affected by not sending air support to the J node, and having a second LBAS at the boss gave me a chance of an extra 100-200 damage to the boss per run (ended doing 550 on my best chipping run this way).

    For unlocking/last dance, i went again with 211303's guide, but since i was lacking equipment, i swapped Tone/Chikuma's WG42 for radars, and replaced Choukai's radar for another T3 shell. Again, only node support and both LBAS to the boss did the trick quite nicely.

    I spent way more fuel/buckets here than i should have, but i will hopefully still have some left to come back and far after E5, however that goes...

    OK so friend fleet tomorrow night (Thurs PM JPN time?). About time, Hopefully that will help a lot. In emergency stockpile mode. Will try to get through most unlocking (except boss HP drain). With F Fleet will drain boss node, then go STF. After that, IDK. emergency stock pile again and I bit of unlocking or whatever at E-5 until Friend Fleet arrives since still reading horror stories with that.

    @Murrue: Thanks, though at this point I don't know if I'll be even able to clear E-4H & E5H given under 200k fuel. Wanted to give it at least 100 sorties, but RNG didn't provide. Read elsewhere 1 person did 185 sorties before drop. Here, at most seen 60 sorties.

    Saved images just in case. Assuming that this is your clearing fleet as well on Hard? If not, what changes (even if equipment0.

    Full friend fleet list. From the looks of it, avoid brining Kongou, abkm, Kagerou and shiranui will be a preferable choice here. Some of them are bonus ships but they are not particularly worthy choice in the fleet. Don't expect this fleet to be as good as E2's though, as only some carry anti-installation equipment.

    How does this work exactly? Lets assume you got furutaka taiha'd at J node. Murasame will get her home, so now your fleet has only three radars - sup extra node.
    And if you got haguro damaged - then your fleet has only two radars in total. How's that supposed to work?

    You need 4 radars to avoid the extra node on Hard. According to what he wrote, it looks like he has 6 radars, so even if he retreats two ships with radars on it he will still avoid the extra node as long as he doesn't retreat more.

    3 questions:

    1) Can I send out a STF fleet to get tagged, use some of them in easy/casual CTF fleet for farming, then use all of the STF tagged fleet for hard? Just need confirmation for this since I can really use the expansion ships set for STF for CTF fast+ fleet.

    2) For CAV, is sanshiki or WG42 better with 2 guns?

    EDIT: 3) Is tank + medium tank/infantry or tank + WG42 better?

    EDIT2: LOL 1 single LBAS bombing run almost nuked the easy boss.
