    -Re.BB Guns: Honestly a bit surprised that KC Wikia isn't quite up to date. I know it lags a bit (which is expected, Eng TL to do and volunteer staff), but usually it's pretty good about that sort of thing. Anyway, I upgraded 2x Proto 51cm Twin to +7, a 3rd to +1 and the 51cm Twin to +7 (I like +7 over +6). So much for that. Maybe OK for single fleet if paired with 41cm Triple Kai or K2. Wonder if I need to make more of those, but RIP screws as it is. Could improve a pair of Proto 41cm to +9 I guess. Not too expensive (I think).

    Anyway, I'll go with 51cm Twin +7 on Nagato with 152 OTO +9, but use 41cm triple Kai/K2 on Mutusu. Iowa gets 16"/50 Mk.7+GFCS of course (also confused about fit with her. KC Wikia has fit only if married!?). 16"/50 Mk.7 (max) & 16" Mk.7 + FCR on Ise K2 should be good enough.

    - RE: Type 0 M62 Iwai. That's what I thought F-B count as DB for CVCI.

    - Still have some RE left (I'm stingy with those. Only rule is ringed ships get an RE on principle). Also, Akagi K2 is pretty good and Rockets K2 AACI is hax/op so not a waste there. Probably more of a waste to put an RE on Teruzuki & Akizuki, frankly. I've used 8 or 9 RE this event. :/

    - True, I've done the non-luck mod ABKM as flag, but problem is that ALL of my NB TCI ships here are not-luck modded. LOT of RNG there. I've tried as I can (not able to just spam resource exped. I can rank (T 500 only 1-2x quarter) and maybe work on 46cm triple, but that's about it. Otherwise maybe try for a Maruyu 1xday and still be able to make decent gains for next event). But yeah, need to work on Luck modding. Still got Maya to do before picking a DD. Like Naganami K2 so thought about here given pretty good stats & high default luck, but really it's Poi that's the objective target for that. As for CL, just not an ABKM fan. Hoping for alternative TBH.

    Anyway, I'm still leaning towards SB Roberts as flag. Rec is to put ABKM with DA 5th, but kind of like having Kitakami there because NB DA is consistent and with bonus, Ko-hyoteki C +4 w/ 2x 20.3cm (No.3) +9 can do some damage. Don't really trust default luck Johnston to reliably trigger. I'll see how it goes. Can always move ships around.

    - Yep, best of luck to us both. Hope you get your clear soon & props for the challenge. Agree that Fletcher is way to go if not using Friend Fleet. Me, I'll take the Friend Fleet though. Just want the extra-shiny plane. 1st Class medals fine and all, but more into top quality equipment. I'm one of those "hoarders" when it comes to games. LOL.

    Hard mode cleared using Nelson fleet, since I feel it give the fleet more equipment flexibility compare to NagaMutsu fleet. Samu-chan is the MVP here for dodging Re torp and finishing the boss, it was the right choice to switch out the SONAR for another torpedo on her.

    How do I set up LBAS for phase 2 without hayabusas? 2 fighter + 2 bomber each?

    Just m21 skilled+3 bomber for first two bases, and 3bomber+toukai for last. Concentrate high fighter power bomber in last base.

    If you see the last base get ai, add another fighter.

    I would actually swap a gun between Mutsu and Ise since the latter profits from equipping 41cm triple kai ni. The 16 inchers are still very good on Nagato-class.

    I am also very stingy with my reinforcement expansions. I would not say rockets kai ni on Akagi (or any other CV) is necessarily op, but it is definitely very good. My only rule is to give good AACI ships an expansion (e.g. Akizuki-class and Johnston). Other than that, I have expanded my 5-5 ships for torpedo bulge and 4-5 ships for "very fast" routing. Then there are of course Ooyodo and Yura for those special secondary guns. My only mistake was giving Naka-chan an expansion because I thought any CL could equip that 8cm+mg.

    Welp, I am also one such "hoarder" and I also want my First Class medal. Thus if I run low on time or resources, I will just clear the map with Friend fleet. It seems that E-5-2 has become very easy now with Friend fleet implementation, so I am not too worried about not being able to clear.

    Nothing beats watching Naga/Mutsu delete Himes. Which is why I still pack em with the 51cm guns, so they do that in any form, any state. I don't recall them missing their shots, not sure if that's possible during the special.

    Efficiency-wise, the fight changes significantly all the way down to the night battle if a big enemy tank is gone entirely, not just taiha'ed. But yeah, I actually just enjoy seeing them wreck final boss maps. Nelson doesn't quite do it for me, especially now that the two sisters have Kai Ni special sprites.

    Cleared with 6 runs of 24 fully sparkled fleets...

    4 retreats at preboss node X, damn Re-classes
    1 passed with Taihaaed Johnston with goddess, which ended up failed to clear and consumed the goddess, not to mention causing PTSD on me watching a shipgirl sink...
    This is my 2nd time watch a shipgirl "sink", though neither of which really sank

    All nodes except X went somewhat stable with node support. 100% pass rate, most of which barely scratched. Ironically my final run had Sara chuuhaaed at node N.
    Preboss was horrifying even with 4 goddesses equipped and node support. My second-last run had three Taihaas - both flagships and second escort ship - right after preemptive strikes.

    Comp used was a slightly modified version of @211303 revised fleet for the Akagi friendly fleet, huge thanks for the comp!

    The slight differences, which were also suggested by 211303, were:

    Mutsu went double gun radar and AP, Ise carrying an extra fighter instead of the radar. That's because I couldn't get AS at X, and needed more fighter power.
    I ended up having 420 fighter power, with a F4U-1D on Sara, and +10 Zuiun 634/Skilled on Ise.

    Used Kagerou instead of Kasumi, because my Kagerou was heavily luck modded, and Kagerou gets near to night-battle cap with two fully improved late-model quads (something Kasumi can't really do). She also secured the boss kill.

    My failed boss attempt was largely due to Nagato touch not activating and TCI ships not triggering at all.
    I even luck modded Johnston but she never activated it. Actually on my failed attempt, she was goddessed during night battle, and made a normal attack. Would have been a dramatic comeback if she activated TCI and sank the boss (was only 160 HP away).
