    Managed to beat E-2 after making some changes to my fleet, replacing Nagato and Mutsu with Italia and Roma, Chikuma with Pola, and Murasame with Jervis.

    E2H finally cleared.

    This was a sortie where everything went right. Fleet arrived at boss essentially untouched. Between LBAS, boss support fleet, opening torpedoes, and opening airstrike, there were only 3 enemies left to clean up. Still needed to enter night battle where friend fleet taija-ed the last two enemies, but two cut-ins later and it's all over. No drops worth mentioning though.

    Is Yura and Abukuma needed in E-3H? I saw them used in @211303's fleet comp guide and I was wondering if their CLT-type opening torp phase will be more needed there.

    Also, is there a need for Myoukou in E-3H as well? I saw her used in @211303's guide as a TCI attacker and I'm wondering if a high-luck CA will also be more needed there. I still have Pudding which I haven't sortied to any event map so far.

    Speaking of high-luck ships, how many of them are needed for P2 H? While trying to build up my fleet, it's starting to look that TCI ships will be what will be killing the boss.

    According to wikiwiki, Jervis has a x1.6 bonus in E-3 whereas the American DDs have x1.45. In, E-2, Jervis has "only" a buff of x1.15.

    Ah, I guess it's just the lottery right now and it's not working out.

    I'm using @21103 's recommended fleet and equipment for P2, except I'm using Shigure instead of Jervis since I don't have any dupes or the other DDs like Johnston and was planning on saving Jervis for E3... but is it worth just using her here? It just feels like I'm not even getting close to the kill.

    Nevermind... the complaining karma thing works again and I did it 3 runs after I posted this. lol

    I got the Yahagi friend fleet which helped a lot by taking like 250-300 HP from the boss.

    Yura and ABKM are useful in E3 because of how they can do a torp while carrying 2/3 of a nuke combo (preferably tank+t89daihatsu+marines), which has a chance to 1-shot/heavily damage the Anchorage hime. Yura can also carry double attack (with 8cm+MG in holepunch) while carrying that combo which lets her do a strong night battle anti-installation attack.

    For E2, generally you want all your escort to be capped TCI (possibly with one utility ship to carry yasen equipments), for E3, it's slightly different because you may want to bring some anti-installation in case any of boss fleet's escorts survive. For both maps, bringing any TCI/DA that is not (near-)capped is a bad idea because they will practically never pen boss armour without a strong crit.

    211303's recommendation leans now towards putting stronger ships in E2 because your escort focuses solely on killing the boss, while E3 not only has the anti-installation element, but also has the advantage of more ships with historical bonus able to deal strong damage to the boss both in day and in night battle (e.g the American ships). So for example if you have Fletcher/Johnston you can put them in E3 and give them TCI and they will do high damage to the boss, but they don't get any such bonus in E2.

    You can use Prinz in E2 if you have difficulty, and you don't actually have to bring Myoukou at all for E3 if you have enough other historical TCI that you didn't already use (e.g. Jervis/Johnston/Fletcher) and can carry the yasen equipments that you need. Myoukou's only real advantage is being the only CA K2 with unmodded naturally high base luck (which still isn't enough to be considered truly reliable TCI)

    S is the 'repair' node for Akashi and Akitsushima repair mechanic. It's pretty much universally agreed that wasting a ship slot to bring them is a terrible idea, so nobody does that.

    Thanks! Since the wikia didn't say anything I was wondering if that was the case.

    If only the repair could repair taihai and maybe refuel the fleet a little people may consider using it. That or having a "repair expedition".
