    @Stormkeeper I would recommend the following:

    My Noshiro only use that build because she has an RE to equip a 8cm for DA. Without that, you should let your Agano use pt imp equipment or OASW.

    Move Kuroshio to main fleet and give her wg+wg+kami tank.

    Give Mikuma 3 spf and FCF and place her at flagship, while Mogami use 2 gun+recon+T3.

    Shiratsuyu should have wg+wg+kami.

    Michishio moves to escort with 2 gun+marine daihaitsu.

    Reorder your escort to CL+Kuroshio+Asashio+Murasame+CA+CA

    I used an RE, but then I realized I didn't have enough WGs to go around so I changed Agano to anti PT Imp.

    I'm still getting non-pens/misses though. I didn't realize kancolle had those. What causes them?

    Who exactly is missing against who? I can't tell what's happen without knowing that.

    Shiratsuyu, Kuroshio, Michishio, Fumizuki are missing against Supply Depot Hime and Summer Princess.

    Shiratsuyu and Kuroshio both have WGx2, kami tank. Fumizuki is using WGx2 and 11th tank regiment, Michishio is using 2x type D guns and marine daihatsu.

    Thing is that I've also seen Fumizuki hit Supply Depot Hime before a few times, but the hit rate is inconsistent.

    It's normal to get non-pen against harbor in day given her armor in day battle, but one punch comp dd should always pen supply depot.

    I personally have never experience amy problem, but if the hit rate is really an issue, sparkle will always help.


    Edit: here's a test of accuracy against the two hime btw. The bottom two are harbor and supply depot in LD form respectively.

    E2 Hard cleared before the EO was released! Even though I said I would wait, I got impatient. And did it in 6 hrs yeaaaa~! Ahem, anyway...

    For Part 1, I copied 211303's strategy with a few tweaks to suit different ships used. I decided to bring Fletcher as I felt the auto OASW ability and good AACI would make her a better replacement for a Akizuki-class. I also happen to have (the misfortune of having) 2 lucky Jervis so I sent one here, but basically she is extra OASW in Part 1 and historical damage boosted TCI in Part 2. Using as many anti-installation equips as 211 is basically complete overkill for Part 1 - the main problem is ensuring the imp dies somehow, and if it doesn't die you will get walled, sadly I don't have as many holepunched ships so I did get walled a couple of times. You could probably afford to swap out one of the anti-installation ships for anti-PT imp.

    As a side note, the nuke combo (daihatsu+marines+tank+WG42) is fully capable of penetrating the boss armour in day battle, so if you have more tanks, feel free to make more nuke combos to not only destroy Supply Hime but also damage the boss heavily.


    For Part 2, my concern was to avoid locking Euro ships for which I didn't have a dupe (Pasta BB/CA, Prinz, and Nagamutsu combo), so if they turn out to be unneeded in E3, feel free to use them here. The chipping is fairly straightforward, in essence if you kill the PT imps you can get a S rank, if you don't, you'll get walled... this is a pattern... Additionally, the escort has more problems dealing with imps due to being mostly TCI ships. Any CLTs and AACI ships brought should ideally have a holepunch with a MG to kill imps.

    For the final kill, I succeeded relatively quickly (compared to other people who used similar non-Nagamutsu/Pasta BB comps), so I can't say too much about my experience. But basically it does rely heavily on luck to kill off imps, have good shelling order (to neutralise the enemy CVL/BB before they shoot), and preferably get a good Ark crit on the himes. In my clearing run, these were the factors that came to pass as the LBAS killed the imps, shelling order was favourable, and Ark killed the CA Hime. I still have yet to see any good damage from her on the boss, and I am considering whether having 3 bombers (avoiding getting the last killed by using a plane with shotdown resistance) might improve the chance of Ark dealing critical damage to the himes.



    Part 2 Boss Kill (Twitch Highlight)

    Even so, in the end the boss kill came close due to not rolling crits for my TCIs. Myoukou defeated the boss with a 36 damage TCI when she had 21 hp remaining. I still need to come back here to get Grecale (if she does not drop in E3), but hopefully that can wait until after the event is cleared and Friend Fleet (if any) is introduced. For everyone else clearing and farming, hopefully the information from E3 will help you make a stronger and more optimised comp and beating the final boss should be less of a problem.     I assume you're not doing the last map on Hard then because there's otherwise no reason to go all out here. But yes, what have you suggested is pretty much how you could optimise the fleet. Zara especially works well in conjunction with the pasta BB as her innate long range won't outrange pasta BBs' Very Long range. Also Shigure is one of the less strong TCI ships, if you have a stronger/luckmodded one you can use them instead.

    An alternative is to bring a 2nd CLT instead of a CA in the escort fleet for Part 2. Small sample size perhaps, but I personally found CLT to have better results than non-historical TCI against the himes, and it also helps with pass rate and clearing trash at the boss.

    Yeah, so far I am completely unimpressed with E3H rewards, and we can go up to Normal without shiplocks so...

    Also Shigure is one of the less strong TCI ships, if you have a stronger/luckmodded one you can use them instead.
    Good idea, I overlooked Shiggy somehow. Ayanami or Poi is the way to go I guess. Or Yukikaze at the very least.
