    @Ink20 - got Part 1 done, but surprised me a bit in terms of what it took. Not anything truly bad, but bit more challenging than I expected. Hopefully Part 2 isn't too much harder.

    As for ranking the rocket interceptors, appreciate the info, but mostly done so might as well finish them off. Want them ranked at some point and given how SLOW it is, can't really rely on simply using on occasion in LBAS to get the job done anytime soon.

    @firehawk12: Oh, I'm sure some are farming on Hard, etc. but GL getting S-ranks with a fairly low drop rate on Johnston. Fair enough on the RL time commitments. Gotta take care of business as the saying goes. :/

    Agree on the "time out" when you change LBAS planes. That's the second of "things I don't like about LBAS". The third is morale.

    @velocius: Grats & gotta do what you gotta do. The shuusui is nice, but as long as you have two rocket interceptors, I'd think you'll be OK. Also, as you note, may very well have a later chance to build one of some type later, especially if the new high-altitude bomber mechanic is going to be a thing going forward. Hard to say, haven't had much use for SFCF lately, but I suspect rocket interceptors will be around going forward.

    Had a small discussion about E-3H vs. E-3M rewards somewhere in the event threads (either locking or E-1, can't remember) and it seems that M4A1 DD is probably the best reward, and if you have to go Medium for E-3, you don't miss out as much vs. Hard compared to some previous events.

    @goesto11 Being forced to rank the intercepters is also annoying, particularly since it takes so long and they never lose ranks anyway... it just exists to make busy work for you.

    Also I feel like getting you can never know what the game will give you. lol
    But then again there seem to always be new gimmicks or gear that are introduced but never really used again afterward.

    For someone like you with every single important land-based interceptor plane from way back in Spring '16, you can ignore ranking the rocket interceptor for the E3 debuff. I just threw them and all the best planes I got into the base and they work fine.

    The important ones that some players might be missing are Hien 244sqn (all the way back from Spring '16), Spitfire IX from Summer '16, Shiden Kai 343 (from Winter '18 Leyte Pt 2), and the god reppuus from E1 and E2 of last event Spring '19 (if they didn't do those on Hard for whatever godforsaken reason).

    You can rank them much faster in 6-5 south route sub node after the event.

    @firehawk12: For better or worse, I've finished ranking them (I have 3 since I T-500 sometimes). Took quite a long time, but done and added a bit of XP to the new ships I have (and some DE I'm still leveling). Also ranked a couple other LBAS fighters that were not at max.

    Well, devs need to introduce some new stuff from time to time to spice things up a bit I suppose. It's a bit weird, to me at least, to have something for an event or two, then *poof* that's done and gone. RIP SFCF I suppose. Frankly, I liked the way that worked better than regular FCF.

    As for equipment, I'm certainly gathering items left on the shelf to gather dust these days. Loathe to scrap some stuff though. :/

    As for Part 3, starting to look into it in detail and there's more unlocking steps that I thought. :/ Some of that is fine, but too much is like getting nothing but fetch quests in an RPG - how it feels to me at least. Welp, this event ain't gonna clear itself so need to get to it.

    @Adraste: Have to be two I'd think if devs take into account players who join after this event unless they change multiplier going forward. Need 2 to avoid penalty.

    @NanashiYoukai: Actually don't have Spitfire IX because of choice between that and Type 1 M22. Long, salty story so leave at that. I do have all the others along with 3x Raiden, 3x Spitfire V (not as good, but OK-ish for defense), 3x Hien 1D (incl. +3 variant), etc. Anyway, just finished ranking my 3 rocket interceptors so shouldn't have a problem (went to 6-5 for that).

    @goesto11 Yeah, part 2 is an adventure that takes you across the entire map. It really is like an RPG haha. Just don't forget to bring the extra BBs for the node H part like I did. lol

    I also feel the same.
    I don't get why there isn't a "training" option for the air base that consumes some resources to increase plane's rank over time (similar to Akashi's repair).
    I also don't get why those hard medals can't be exchanged for something more valuable (like ring and dock expansion) in a way similar to how normal medals work.

    @Ink20 having automatic plane ranking would make sense to me since at least it's automating something that can take an hour of doing nothing by flying to 6-5. lol

    It's funny, I guess people always saw hard medals as a bit of a flashy show off piece more than anything else. I still remember in the days of peak Kancolle watching someone just sell off his hard medals to get slightly more resources for an event since he was basically out of everything.

    E3H Part 1 cleared!

    Notable drops: None

    Used a single fleet for this, so it's possible if you are considering this. Passing rate is decent and very high chance of getting day-time S-ranks pre-LD. For the successful LD clear (2nd attempt), no chance to use Touch as Nelson was already chuuha before entering battle, but still scored a day-time S rank.

    Pros

    All-out historicals and nukers with Touch attack.
    Greater survival at sub node F with choice of vanguard in addition to toukai attack

    Cons

    Touch normally ends up being used on escort first, so it's RNG if Touch is to be used on main fleet with maximum effect.
    No effective anti-imp measures, so you rely heavily on LBAS and boss support to get rid of the imps.





    LBAS (LD): 2 bases of 4 bombers to boss node, 1 base of 4 toukais to sub node F. For pre-LD, change 1 base of 4 bombers to 1 range 7 interceptor, 1 land-based recon and 2 bombers

    At the final unlocking step for Start 2 - A rank at Boss Node U 2x and get Air Superiority at Node R. Following Guide so using essentially Part 2 CTF, but swapped CAV for CV per guide to form STF. PROBLEM is that it's such a long route an this is not a strong STF with 2xAV. I guess I can lighten up some on anti-installation equipment, but I can't get to Node R let alone Node U without getting taiha'd and that's WITH Node support (one comment here posted "no problems with node support).

    Maybe RNG, but I have to do this TWICE and once is proving hard enough >_> Seriously Tanaka, moderation with unlocking phases.

    Anyway, ideas/suggestions appreciated
