    G-senjou no Mao

Wondering how many others on here have read this.

I finished it a while ago but its definitely one of my favs.

Found it extremely engaging and just overall pretty fresh.

This was definitely a darker version of the other VN made by Akabei, Sharin no Kuni. I enjoyed both of them, but I preferred Sharin a little more. Akabei is well known for doing a plot twist, and Sharin has a better plot twist than G-Senjou. I liked the atmosphere of this one more, though.

If you can speak Japanese, there's no problem, but if you're an English speaker like me (RIP), the VNs translated that are by Akabeisoft2 are Sharin no Kuni and its FD (FD is pretty good too for the omake story of the counselor guy, but the extras are just nukige), G Senjou no Maou, and A Profile (which sucked by the way). Lavender no Shoujo is being translated, but as there hasn't been any message from the translators for an entire year let alone any progress, I think the project is dead.

I did like it a lot (Though i played Muv Luv Alternative right before it so it had slightly less impact), didn't play the other girls routes though because they generally didn't interest me

    Current Goals:
    Maya K2 - 60/75
    Chikuma K2 - 50/70
    Kiso K2 - 50/65

I've been meaning to get around to it, I probably should considering I've been making an effort to read more visual novels but I have a backlog of light novels and games to deal with and the steam sale isn't helping one bit.

I didn't like the Epilogue much, even though it was pretty interesting. Not my cup of tea though.
The rest of the game was amazing for the most part. The music and the main story was really, really good and kept me hooked every second while playing. Shiratori's route became boring quick and the others were average, but damn the main route was intense.

I too prefered Sharin no Kuni better.
G-senjou no Mao started good but as the story progressed I started having a bad feeling about the twist, and once it did happen, it was so predictable (and imo, disappointing) that it took me a great deal of effort to finish reading it.

@Marlblanke yeah i definitely also slowed down towards the end.
but probs just cause i had a bunch of other stuff on, not only cause of its content.
