General Kancolle Manga thread

I don't know if this one's been mentioned here before (I skimmed the thread but didn't see it) but even if it has I'm gonna link it because it's so sad and wonderful (the bonus chapter will help take the edge off the pain tho)

The Last One Week by C-button

Featuring shipgirls who are more or less robots dealing with post-war depression, and the fatherly Admiral who tries his best to relate to his hostile new charges. It has a really cynical and callous Kitakami, which is an interesting change from the chill bro she's usually depicted as. This is probably the bleakest depiction of shipgirl life I've ever seen, not because their life is ultra violent and tragic, but just because it's dull, numb, and pointless after the war. 10/10, would feels again

I am reading a bit of manga related to Kantai Collection and I wish ask why Admiral is depicted with T-head often ?

there is a special meaning with T letter ? :O

In Kancolle, the term used for "Admiral" is "提督", in English that's "Teitoku", so starts with a "T". Hence the T head, for the anonymous Teitoku.

It is a throwback to Idolm@ster series (and maybe others, I'm not sure) where the "Producer" is often also anonymous and has a "P" head. Today other games use it too, like "S" for "Shikikan" (Commander) in Girls Frontline. Basically, its a Japanese meme.

I have seen some artworks and strips on female admiral too but female version havent the T-head :D well, I am wondering if future new anime series will show us the entry of admiral character but I think that admiral can remains as "presence" because admiral represents all us fans ( boys and girls ).
