    @Kuropo @goesto11 Well I think it can help for Akitsushima since she is so squishy, but I never got taihad at the NB node (used Vanguard formation) so I never got to really use Gotland's goddess anyways.

    I watched your replay and used the same ships as you (and roughly the same equipment on them bar the ones in the Reinforcement Slots because I don't have enough REs to hole punch them). Same for the LBASes where I even copied their exact placements. The only difference in the LBAS is the one T1 LBAS Model 34 in LBAS 2 (the same LBAS with the Nonaka Squadron in it) was replaced by a Ginga.

    On the other hand, my Akitsushima getting heavily damaged was rarely the issue, different experience/luck/rng, I suppose.

    How much air power? Also, the jets weren't particularly useful in hindsight, though still nice for air power. Let me check my own fleet comp too.

    @Kuropo: Thanks for the comments. Thought a lot about the things you mentioned as I've tried this. FYI - trying Gotland now. Maybe the large searchlight (IF I manage to pass node K) will work better at the boss.

    1) Taitei on Akitsushima for sub attack at Node B. Doesn't do that much, but may be able to chip SS Hime enough to chuuha (or help with that) so no 2nd torp strike. Also sparkles Akitsushima automatically which gives some evasion. So no need to remove RADAR given 2 & 3 below. Could drop HP boiler, but does help with evasion. Thought about repair crane as well, but commented on that already (and I don't think you used one).

    2) Regarding Kinugasa. KC3 Kai shows exactly the same NB power (225) with the load-out I have vs. 20.3cm (No.2) +9 + 2x OTO 152mm +9. Reason is Kinugasa fit bonuses. With one 20.3cm (No.2) I get +2fp. By adding 2nd 20.3cm (No.2) + "Surface" RADAR (FUMO25 counts), I get +7fp and +2 torps fit bonus. Add in the FUMO25 FP bonus and end up in the same place. Also get FUMO25 accuracy bonus so I think this works out better in this specific instance.

    3) I'm still not 100% sure on map bonuses. Yuudachi has 1.2x map bonus vs. 1.15x for Kinugasa. For Node W, both get 1.73x. So if the map bonus stacks, Yuudachi has bit more overall bonus. If not, then both have same bonus. With my specific Yuudachi load out (which gives substantial fit bonuses - and need "Surface" RADAR with that), Yuudachi has 226 NB power = 1pt more than Kinugasa. Very close, but Yuudachi is slightly better. Could move up Yuudachi because well not as sturdy so maybe gets a chance in NB to fire if I ever gt back to boss node.

    4) Per above, Yuudachi loses 12 NB power if I drop the GFCS RADAR for star shell. That's a lot with all the multipliers. If I'm going to put on a star shell, I'll have to put Proto Sextuple Oxy back on Ayanami + Quint Oxy. I'll get almost to cap, but not quite with Night scout.

    5) Moved Ayanami to escort flag because when Shigure was at flag, she was the only one who most of the time (but not always) was at light damage or better. Majority of the time, after my flagship fires, Boss & remaining 4 escorts (even after FFLeet), just go down the line and rake over rest of my escort fleet. Might have 1 that escapes at light damage or better, but not that often. So thought here is to give me the best chance at opening boss snipe. Ayanami has best chance to NB TCI trigger and with 3x torps + multiplier strongest attack. Shot in the dark though because will have to target boss out of 5 targets, but that's where I'm at. At most, maybe I sink one of the boss escorts, but by that time DD in 5th is almost always at chuuha or taiha.

    Maybe this last one is debatable, but again, not only is it increasingly rare for me to get to the boss node, I get so hammered - even the few times my fleet made it relatively unscathed, it didn't matter. Chipping was FAR different for me than this - both passing rate & at the boss. First chipping sortie, I sunk the boss as Shigure (then flag), NB TCI the boss for like 500hp.

    @Danielosama: Once in a while, Akitsushima gets taiha'd, but not all that often (self sparkle & HP boiler along with torp bulge helping I think). My taiha's are quite spread out. Lot of times it's Yuudachi or which ever DD is 5th in escort (so Ayanami then Shigure). Yahagi does get taiha'd, but then OK, got to boss node, then crap result + Yahagi gets sunk in NB at boss so goddess triggers and is wasted (per above had Yahagi "sunk" then goddess then taiha'd again). JMO and all, but I do think repair node AFTER Node S (so right before boss node) would make it more appealing.

    Since I haven't used that comp, I can't tell you with any certainty, so take my judgment with a grain of salt.
    However, as you see, that comp has 3 OASW ships in the escort fleet. It obviously lacks firepower, also for night battle.
    Note that he also used only 1 torpedo bomber per CV(L) and has higher air power. I don't know what he sortied in his land base, but if you follow Zekamashi/me, around 750 air power in your fleet should be enough (against the lower air power pattern) to achieve AS. (I think I had slightly above 750 air power but still AP due to higher air power enemy pattern.)
    Even though Nelson touch makes up for it a bit, I think you will have a harder time with this one tbh.

    This probably goes without saying, but you have sent normal node support, right?
    Also, is your Ayanami/Poi luckmodded?
    Could you perhaps send a replay of one of your V node runs, might be easier for me to judge what goes wrong (and what can be done to improve, if possible)?

    I don't use KC3 due to something weird going on my laptop (that I still can't fix) so I'm playing the game directly on a browser.

    Anyway, for GENTLEMEN's LBAS, here's what he used:

    LBAS : toukai squad to node F
    LBAS : Recon + 3x Mod 34 LBAS to node V
    LBAS : Recon + 2x Ginga + Shiden 343 to node V

    Also, I didn't luckmod either Ayanami or Yuudachi so they're stuck in the same luck stat that they normally have. Anyway, still using your fleet comp. It's somewhat inexpensive (even when using node support) when compared to using a fleet with Nelson. Also, I have good odds of scoring A-Ranks with it so achieving an S-Rank should get me to waste over 10K in fuel and ammo.

    For some reason, KC3kai gives me slightly higher firepower on Kinugasa with the double secondaries setup, but it is only by 1 point anyway. I even used no.3 guns on her instead of no.3.
    Honestly, a couple points of firepower doesn't make a huge difference here, since with these buffs, anyone can pretty much finish her off, and she requires 2-3 of your shipgirls hitting her. The problem is surviving (healthily) and targetting.

    I know we have been through most of those points yesterday already. There really isn't much variance in terms of fleet comp and equipment setups for this map, as I have noted in my report.

    Also been through this, but Large Searchlight is supposedly to divert attacks more effectively. I just dealt with the occasional retreat (and refused to use damecon on Gotland).
