    Canada's most successful warship

Here's one proposal that I'm amazed hasn't shown up anywhere in any official shipgirl list:

    1. The name of the warship (You can add her pennant number or hull classification) and her rarity:

HMCS Haida (original pendant G-63, later hull classification code DDE-215) (I'd mark her somewhat rare)

    2. Her ship class:

    Tribal-class (1936 generation) destroyer

    3. Her navy/navies she served:

    Royal Canadian Navy

    4. Briefly describe her history and why she is deserved to be added into this game:

Most famous and successful warship of the RCN. Last surviving Tribal-class destroyer of 27 constructed; 13 were sunk in World War Two, 13 were eventually scrapped, leaving Haida. Served in both World War Two in the Atlantic/European theatre and the Korean War. She's been involved in convoy escort duties as well as supporting Operation: Overlord. One of those who carried out "train busting" duties while serving in Korea.

    5. Your idea of her skill when she is remodeled (if you have):

Haida's original weapons fit on construction:
    6 x 4.7 inch/45 cal (3 x 2) DP guns (two forward & one aft)
    2 x 4 inch/45 cal (1 x 2) DP guns (in "X" position aft)
    4 x 40 mm 2 pdr AA guns (4 x 1)
    6 x 20 mm Oerlikon AA guns
1 quad torpedo launcher for Mk IX 21 inch torpedoes
1 depth charge rail and 2 depth charge throwers.

After her DDE refit in the early 1950s:
    4 x 4 inch/45 cal (2 x 2) DP guns forward
    2 x 3 inch/50 DP guns (1 x 2) in "Y" position
    4 x 40 mmm Bofors AA guns (4 x 1)
    She kept the torpedo launchers
Depth charges were replaced with 2 Squid 3-barrel ASW mortars.

Radar and sonar were upgraded quite significantly as well.

    6. Her personality:

I wouldn't see a shipgirl version of Haida as being arrogant at all. She watched a sistership (the original HMCS Athabaskan) die before her sometime prior to the Normandy invasion, so this would mark her. She's done convoy duty and shore bombardment duties; she wouldn't allow her fame as the "fightingest ship in the RCN" to get to her head. She's a slugger, dogged and willing to punch it out.

    7. Fanart design (If you can draw her out), or you can try your best to use words to describe her appearance:

As she is the namesake of a Canadian First Nation, she would appear to be a native Haida at first glance, with darker skin tone than what would be seen as "white" and the right facial structure that identifies her straight off the bat as an indigenous American. She would be of the same physical age as the older destroyers in KanColle like Fubuki, Mutsuki and Yūdachi; when she undergoes her DDE upgrade, Haida would mature as Yūdachi did in the KanColle anime. She would possess hair and eye colour matching her ship's crest; she would be raven-haired tinged in golden blonde and blue-eyed with a glint of silver (from the white in the heraldic water on her crest). She would wear her hair in a proper military style for women (a bun at the back of the head). In my fanfic stories, Canadian shipgirls wear a sleeveless bodysuit similar to what diver's wear; Haida's would be coloured a gunmetal grey with black-trimmed red boots. Her pendant number would be on the upper outer thighs in white. If you prefer to dress her in something more traditional, the pre-1968 RCN square rig uniform could be worn, a petty officer's gold crossed anchors on her left upper sleeve over three golden chevrons (13 years good conduct)...or if you want, put her in dark clothing with the twin-head thunderbird of her ship's crest on her top.
