haha,I didn't realize I can use her until I watched sb stream. Normally Amethyst's skill is not good for pushing map,but E6 is different,if you saw it you will realize. It's like map 1-5,only two nodes, start node and Boss node.So no matter how many hits Amethyst take,it won't sink and you don't need to use any damage control unit, either.

Pachina is kicking my ass. Or rather, my own ships are kicking their own asses by not actually shooting her, but the BBVs and the decoy Pachinas.

I'm only 8 battles into Ex3 and not having any clean kills the 3 times I got to Pachina worries me about the last dance with her. Uuugh.

    Doing 2BB/2BC/2CV.

My own report of my progress so far (Struggling with E4)

    E1:
Triptiz (modded with level 3 skill)
Bismarck (modded with level 3 skill)
Renown (modded with level 3 skill)
    Essex
Saratoga (modded with level 3 skill)
Lexington (modded with level 3 skill)

Forgotten how many times I needed to pass the event but no less than 5 but not more than 8. Lost 30 buckets

    E-2:

    First Attempts
Triptiz (modded with level 3 skill)
Bismarck (modded with level 3 skill)
Renown (modded with level 3 skill)
    Essex
Saratoga (modded with level 3 skill)
Lexington (modded with level 3 skill)

After knowing that it is better to go to A-C-M, I made the following changes

    First few changes.
Triptiz (modded with level 3 skill)
Bismarck (modded with level 3 skill)
Z16 (modded with level 3 skill)
Z1 (modded with level 3 skill)
Z31 (modded with level 3 skill)

After knowing that the flagship must be a destroyer to guarantee.

    Final Fleet
Z16 (modded with level 3 skill) - 1 gold and standard propeller, 1 magnetic torpedo
Z1 (modded with level 3 skill) - 1 gold and standard propeller, 1 magnetic torpedo
Z31 (modded with level 3 skill) - 1 gold and standard propeller, 1 magnetic torpedo
    Saratoga (modded with level 3 skill) - 2 fighters + 2 bombers
Lexington (modded with level 3 skill)- 2 fighters + 2 bombers

Took me 8 attempts and a bit frustrating because Zuikaku keep on damaging my destroyers until a chance arrived. Lost 30 buckets too.

    E-3 (Passed just recently) -
The Operation Pachina is my very first event in WSG-R and when I was a struggling Mid-level Admiral with no ships beyond level 75 except Z16. I lost so this is very personal!

    First Attempts
Triptiz (modded with level 3 skill)
Bismarck (modded with level 3 skill)
Renown (modded with level 3 skill)
    Essex
Saratoga (modded with level 3 skill)
Lexington (modded with level 3 skill)

After learning the fleet formation, I changed quite a few times. Mignonette and Tirpitz chan you might need this to pass the event
    Final attempts
Triptiz (modded with level 3 skill)
Bismarck (modded with level 3 skill)
Renown (modded with level 3 skill)
Z16 (modded with level 3 skill)
Yuubari (modded with level 3 skill)/ Later Helena (modded with level 3 skill) with Kirov's weapons
Saratoga (modded with level 3 skill)

Knowing that Pachina's decoys and her extreme amount of health points would post an extreme challenge I too fear the worst. it did not help the fact that the Seaport abyssal's anti-air was so high that my carriers could not do any damage at all. The miracle happened when Pachina had 4% left and one last attempt against her.

When i was approaching the boss note, Z16 was already moderately damaged despite being my elite ship. I knew that Saratoga would be useless in this stage (but she was very important at the beginning because she could lower the chances that the BBs and BC would take too much damage.

So far, I used double line formation to try to preserve the fleet with Tirpitz's skill (decreasing evasion and accuracy of the enemy fleet) but it was hopeless as Pachina was extremely accurate. This time (last attempt), she was in echelon formation. I decided to take the risk and ordered my fleet to use the echelon formation to increase the critical hit rate though my fleet would face the same problem.

Saratoga's final use (not sunk as she was in perfect health) was to prevent enemy air superiority and prevented the enemy from doing too much damage though Z16 took a hit. Throughout the campagin, I was feeling very guilty because I am glad that the enemy ships ONLY targeted Saratoga and Z16 while not aiming at the BBs, BC and Helena. The other BB and BCs did their job well until the second round of fire where the Panchia's decoys moderately damaged Bismarck and Tirpitz (Renown was safe and managed to sunk one of the decoys with Helena sinking another one). But non-decoy Pachina was critically hit by Tirpitz and Bismarck before they took the hits.

Finally in night battle, Tirpitz proved why she was level 99 when she finally delivered the killing blow to Pachina despite being moderately damaged, avenging the defeat we got last time and passing the event.

Last time against Pachina - the final fleet
Bismarck (modded with level 3 skill)
Renown (modded with level 3 skill)
Helena (modded with level 3 skill)
Z16 (modded with level 3 skill)
Saratoga (modded with level 2 skill)
Lexington (modded with level 2 skill)

So in this case, besides Tirpitz, all the ships in this attempt to defeat Pachina were the ones from the last attempt back then. So they also got sweet revenge. Tirpitz's skill got them so far so I am glad that I had devoted all my resources to train her and develop her skill back at Operation Valkyrie.

Mignonette, the carriers would do absolutely nothing in the boss stage. The best route is to go from C but you would need a destroyer and a light cruiser, no more than 2 battleship and 1 carrier to go there. Be sure to put the best Anti-submarine and propellers to the light cruisers and destroyers as there are submarines on the way (4 attempts were stopped because of submarines critically damaging the heavy hitting ships)

E6 finally finished. 11 attempts in total. As others have mentioned, Amethyst will make your life much easier in this map - put her in position 6. Some users on the Chinese forum suggested pairing her with Akatsuki in position 2 to further draw fire during night battle. Another strategy I read was to use 5BB/BC 1CV and equip the CV with 4 fighter planes, then only enter battles if the opponent is in diamond formation.

    I started with Bismarck-kai 100, Tirpitz-kai 100, Andrea-Doria-kai 100, Hood-kai 100, Colorado-kai 88 (lvl 2 skill), Amethyst-kai.83 (levelled her 16 to 83 and raised her skill to 3 - all in 5 days)
    1. 393/450, 4 buckets
    2. T-advantage, 132/450 3 buckets

    Switched Tirpitz for Richelieu 100
    3. 151/450 5 buckets
    4. 130/450 5 buckets
    5. 208/450 5 buckets

    Switched Colorado for Laffey-kai 96, Richelieu for Gearing-kai 92
    6. 95/450, 6 buckets
    7. 304/450 5 buckets
    Switched Hood for Colorado
    8. 44/450 5 buckets

    Switched Andrea-Doria for Hood
    9. 140/450 4 buckets
    10. 219/450 6 buckets

    Switched Gearing for Inazuma-kai 96
    11. SANK!! Bismarck landed the killing blow during night battle.

Bismarck opened the battle with a ~160 crit on Sukh, while Colorado hit Sukh as a secondary target from Big 7. One of the torpedoes from Inazuma or Laffey also landed a hit, leaving Sukh with 30 HP going into night battle. There were still 5 enemy ships left, so I was hoping that BIsmarck would activate her skill to finish off Sukh. The skill didn't proc, but Bismarck aimed Sukh anyway and sank her.

Final formation: Bismarck, Colorado, Hood, Laffey, Inazuma, Amethyst

Total expenditure for this map: 48 buckets, 12.5k steel.

This event has been quite expensive. Change in materials from start of event till now:
    Oil: -42k; Ammo: -21k; Steel: -51k; Bauxite: +1.5k; Buckets: -176
@Mignonette: Remove AP shells from your gunships. Pachina has practically no armour, so the best way is to go full damage. I would recommend using route C as well, but be aware that the entire enemy fleet is immune to torpedoes. Helena or Yuubari would be good choices for the CL spot. I recommend Inazuma for the DD spot in case you get a lucky skill hit on Pachina.

@Nandaka I concur, Pachina is the least of the two problems. I am only 1 precent away from clearing E4 but Akagi proved to be far difficult to kill. You will need two things

    1. t-Advantage
    2. Echelon Formation
    3. Enemy Diamond formation

It is hard to know because the enemy recon level is extremely high and you are almost certain that you would not get the detection advantage. Pachina's only problems were her escorts and her high health but Akagi's planes poses a huge problem.
