    Ah someone who started a year ago... I've felt a few things too since playing I've found myself trying to stay motivated to play, but for me seeing how the events are going... it's been quite tough even playing Easy mode during, I've seen how hard it is to enjoy the game due to the unnecessary difficulty spikes to the point I had to panic or try to bear with it. I'll stay with Kancolle since it's my second browser game however I need to push myself more.

    I think it is quite difficult to stay motivated to play this game for more than a year. As I have mentioned in my previous post, I still play the game mainly out of love for the whole KanColle universe. Playing this game has also become part of my "daily routine". The actual gameplay offers little entertainment for me nowadays.

    I have become somewhat indifferent to new events too. While I can get frustrated attempting to clear event maps, that frustration mainly comes from not being able to clear those as quickly as I want to, rather than from not being able to pass a certain node or unable to kill the boss. I have found myself not willing to spend days to clear event maps anymore. Although it is possible to select a lower difficulty, doing that would just give me a bad taste in the mouth since I know I am able to clear everything on hard.

    I hope they don't release Shinano as she is now, i personally hate her design. As her design goes she looks nothing like Yamato-class.

    Also it seems they plan to make her a carrier from the get go, which i don't like as this could be great chance to make a unique remodel tree.
    She could start as a shitty BB, then remodel to a shitty CV and finally remodel to this to this super CV to top all other CV's. Coming with the Yamato class consumption of course.

    After playing for 2+years I still have some goals left. I feel burned out but certainly won't stop until I manage to complete them.
    What I'd change... I think they should double bauxite income from expeditions, I technically have to stop using carriers outside events every single time.
    They should stop with bullshit like wurfgerat, and such. Esp if you can only get it on the next map after you need it.
    Transport-escort missions are hell. Thank god for FCF, but it's sorta useless honestly. It's better to just retreat and start over than wait 30 minutes for your escort ship to recover. Remove recovery time from the escort ship.
    Airstrike base management is tiring, and makes me feel mad. Why bother with planes when it's a shipgirl game? Or rather why bother with ships when planes win me the game anyway? Drop the gimmick like it's hot.
    Akashi's upgrade shop is expensive and you can do without, make it either cheaper or make it rng defying.
    Destroyers are useless except ducks, and the game does everything in it's power to make me use them, they're weak, get damaged easily and they only exist to cripple my effectiveness.

    What I want to see added is abyssal capturing, taming and marriage. yes it won't ever happen but I'm allowed to dream. Also, PLEASE add the duplicate ship luck raising upgrades already.

    Started a year ago and KanColle to me is like doing daily routines to prepare for events when it's not event-time.

    I have no idea why I fall for such a game though. Maybe I'm just I masochist : /
    I use to clear all dailies and all weekies (except the World 4/5 quest chain) before I hit the 4x300k resource cap.

    I'm still rather diligent for expeditions - I only waste like 4 to 8 hours out of 72 hours per day.

    I would say that the universe and the ships kind of gives me some attachment to the game.
    It nice to witness the growth of my fleet.
    Hmm.. my intuitive definition for the noun "ship" also kind of changed in this year.

    I probably won't ever be able to quit until I splay my guts across the deck getting rank 1 some day in the distant future when I take a month off work to CCCI like mad and burn through 300k baux while Mamiya'ing my drum holders and expedition ships.

    I had 2 years to make the push while lazily loafing around in grad school but I just kept procrastinating. And now, life has caught up to me.

    I still think KC has a lot of life left, of course it needs to add and change stuff to make the game more appealing to new players and vets alike, this is a huge franchise and I'm sure both DMM and Kadokawa wont let it die that easily.

    I started playing this game like 3 years ago and I still love it, it grows tedious over time yes but I like the girls I have under my command and I love to collect furniture which are the main reasons I'm still here. Events are still interesting and fun yet they could be better without those massive doses of RNG and sometimes impossible mechanics... that doesn't make a challenge, it makes players desperate and salty enough to quit the game for good. At least the devs are trying their best to come up with new themes for the events, but they need to listen more to the players in order to improve the gameplay and the overall fun, of course fun for JP players is tro grind and grind nonstop against an impossible wall till it breaks... oh well, I'm optimist that 2017 will bring us surprises hopefuly, I'll still be here playing the game.

    Now, after a couple of years, I sometimes still wonder why I continue playing this game for so long and as diligently as I am still. I think it is because I just do not want to leave my shipgirls behind.. :/ It sounds pretty sad actually.

    Yeah, I totally understand what you mean. Realistically speaking, the "last 1%" of the content is just "meh" if you have seen the rest dozens of times already..

    During my first year or 2 playing this game, I used to go for a spot in the top 100 monthly. Nowadays, I can barely find the motivation to grind for top 500.
    I can somewhat imagine how much time it takes to grind as many points to earn the top spot.. It is quite a ridiculous feat, which I would never go for myself. I recommend trying for the first place during the month before an event takes place or the month when it occurs. For obvious reasons.
    Also, I remember getting into the top 100 and top 500 during the first months of our server, just by spamming 1-5 sorties. :D

    I currently have over 200 furniture pieces, but I still prefer the ones I've bought a long time ago. The new ones are rather bright, which hurt my eyes during the night. Also, I want them to create more "traditional" pieces of high quality.
